This review, "
China's Tell-Nothing Ethos" by
Andrew J. Nathan, takes an unfavorable stand. But I found the reader discussion of it more interesting. The book's co-author, Foster Winans, made some reasonable points in his rebuttal to Nathan. I also found it amusing that a "reader" who did not read the book nonetheless chose to criticize it. One of those weird things.
